A day in the life of a photographer and a day in the life of a high school senior portrait photographer during Covid-19 quarantine look very different. Earlier this week, the SeniorSzn Magazine asked the question on their Instagram Story, “What are you doing to help your business during quarantine?” It made me stop to think about it because life as I typically know it, is much different than it is today. Its hard to answer that question in a sentence or two because simultaneously, there’s so much going on, but yet so little. My heart breaks for the senior right now, especially my Senior Model Team as we should be finishing up some fun, creative shoots right now and we can’t. They should be excited about their upcoming graduation, prom, etc. but everything is in a holding pattern with no real end date.
A Day in the Life of a Photographer during Covid-19 Quarantine
As a small business owner, its essential that I don’t stop! I have to keep revolving and getting ready for what’s next…ready to hit the ground running as soon as this craziness ends. It really made me stop to think about what a day in the life of a high school senior portrait photographer during quarantine looks like.
So to answer this question, “What are you doing to to help your business during quarantine?” I sat down and started to write about not just what I’m doing for myself and my business right now, but for all my seniors and my Senior Model Team! I submitted my answers to SeniorSzn Magazine. If you’d like to read more about it, click on the link below!
These are unprecedented times. We’ll probably never see anything like Covid-19 again…at least I hope not! That said, I do feel like we are going to come out of this with a greater appreciation for the little things, like a hug from a friend or a handshake, not to mention a greater appreciation for medical personnel, grocery and department store workers, truckers, and so much more.
Stay safe everyone!
